The most powerful IE9 Malware Blocking
A
security system testing conducted by NSS Labs of 6 browser shows that Microsoft's
Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) is the best browser in the affairs of blocking
malware.
The results of studies conducted by NSS Labs in the computer users in Europe are putting IE9 at the top to block malware affairs with achieving perfect or 100 percent. Perfect achievement is derived from the double protection of SmartScreen Filter to block malicious URLs, and Application Reputation to detect applications that are not convincing. Meanwhile, earlier versions of IE, IE8, took second place with 92 percent. Apple Safari 5, Mozilla Firefox 4 and Google Chrome 10 are in third place with the achievement of 13 percent, and Opera 11 are in last position with only 5 percent of malware blocking it.

study compares the sixth browser to detect and prevent the users to download
and install malware. The
addresses of sites visited were collected from email spam, advertising, and
links on social networking. These
sites generally keep malware and tried to trap visitors by asking to install a
certain software which is in fact malware.
The use SmartScreen Filter to detect malicious URLs proved more effective than the methods used by other browsers. Safari, Firefox and Chrome achieving the same result because the three browsers are using the same method of detection of the URL, the Google Safe Browsing System. While Opera uses detection service URL from the antivirus vendor AVG.
However, although the combination of SmartScreen Filter and Application Reputation makes IE9 be the most secure browser, did not rule out the possibility of false detection. In fact it is not possible URLs or applications that should be safe even prevented by IE9. But at least, the efforts made in IE9 Microsoft makes its users feel more secure.
